Welcome and Onboarding

New to Stallion? Start here. A short introduction to the platform and a roadmap of what to do in your first session.

Welcome to Stallion

Stallion is a Canadian shipping platform that gives ecommerce businesses access to discounted multi-carrier rates for domestic, US, and international shipments. You create labels in the dashboard, drop off or schedule a pickup, and Stallion handles the carrier handoff.

Signing up is free. If you haven't created an account yet, see How to Create Your Account.

What you'll do in your first session

  1. Create your account and add a payment method.
  2. Set up your account preferences — sender address (if needed), shipping defaults, label format, and 2FA. Follow the First-Time Setup Checklist.
  3. Connect a store (optional) — Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, or WooCommerce. See Connecting Your Store.
  4. Create your first shipment — manually with How to Create a Regular Shipment, or by importing orders from a connected store.
  5. Print the label and drop off or schedule a pickup. See Printing Labels Guide.

How shipping works on Stallion

The end-to-end process is three steps:

  1. Create a shipment — manually, from a connected store, or via file import.
  2. Purchase the label — postage is charged to your Stallion wallet.
  3. Hand off the package — drop off at a Stallion location or Drop & Go partner, or schedule a pickup.

See How Shipping Works for the full step-by-step overview.

Direct vs. Connect mode

Stallion has two shipping modes that determine which services and pickup options are available:

  • Direct mode — you buy a label and handle the handoff (drop off or schedule pickup separately). Best for the lowest per-label cost.
  • Connect mode — Stallion arranges the carrier pickup. Available for Courier, LTL, and Same-Day services.

See Direct vs. Connect Mode for a side-by-side comparison.
