Purchasing Labels & Bulk Label Creation

Understand how label purchasing works, what happens to your wallet balance, and how to buy labels individually or in bulk.

Purchasing a label is the point where a shipment moves from preparation into a paid shipment with a tracking number.

Step 1: Review the shipment before purchase

Before you buy the label, confirm:

  • the address is valid
  • the package details are complete
  • the service or rate has been selected
  • your wallet has enough funds for the purchase

Good to know: If your wallet balance is too low, a dialog appears showing the shortfall. You can add funds directly from that dialog if a payment method is saved — no need to leave the purchase flow.

Step 2: Purchase one label or a group of labels

For a single shipment, use the purchase action on the shipment row or in the shipment details view.

For multiple shipments, check the boxes for the shipments you want in the shipments list, then click Purchase in the bulk action toolbar. Review the total before confirming.

Step 3: Check the confirmation screen

The confirmation screen shows:

  • Number of shipments being purchased
  • Total cost across all selected shipments
  • Any validation warnings (e.g., address issues or missing fields on specific shipments)
  • Your wallet balance after purchase

Click Confirm to complete the purchase. The postage cost is deducted from your wallet balance immediately.

Auto-purchase

If auto-purchase is enabled in Settings → Shipping → Automation, labels are purchased automatically when orders are imported from a store. You can still review and void labels after auto-purchase if needed.

After purchase

Once the purchase succeeds:

  • the shipment gets a tracking number
  • the status updates to Purchased
  • the label becomes available for printing or download

If something goes wrong

Wallet balance is too low

Add funds in Billing → Payment or use auto-refill if it is already configured.

Only some shipments purchased successfully

Bulk purchases are processed shipment by shipment, so you can fix only the failed ones and retry them.

You bought the wrong label

Use the void action if the service allows it, then edit and repurchase the shipment if needed.

A shipment shows a validation error during bulk purchase

Fix the flagged field on that shipment and retry it individually. The error message will tell you which field or condition needs attention.
